Documentation Competence and ICT Domain as a Strategy for Translation

Abstract

The prevailing presence of the new technologies, the role of information and the so called “knowledge era” have brought about that modern enterprises pose and demand strongly new competences from their professionals whatever their application area may be. This article deals with the issue of how recent technology transformations influence the work of translators who should find solutions to pragmatic and linguistic problems inherent to translation process with an adequate and competent use of documentation.
