Proposal for a GBAS system at the Frank País International Airport in Holguín

Abstract

It is proposed taking into account the need to carry out efficient and safe area operations and the increase in the flow of air traffic, the implementation of a Ground- Based Satellite Augmentation System of high performance and precision that allows to efficiently guarantee the safety of air navigation in the region of the Frank País International Airport of Holguín. To arrive at the proposed result, different scientific methods were used, which allowed various calculations to meet with the requirements demanded by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), modeling and finally evaluating the system with different software. The results shown show that the system can be implemented.
