Cuba’s aeronautical radionavigation system is made up of equipment aimed at technological obsolescence compared to satellite navigation systems. With a certain level of investment and international aeronautical security agreements, it is possible to implement WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) monitoring stations, in order to correct the GPS signal, with coverage throughout North America and part of the Caribbean, providing ranges of precision, accuracy, integrity and availability capable of optimizing the airspace, the reception service and the established security levels, the main objectives of Air Traffic Control service providers. In this project, the calculation of the error probability of the communications loop among the GPS global navigation satellites, the satellite reception stations, a geostationary satellite of said system and the aircraft is developed with the objective of validating its use in the Cuban territory and expand the WAAS coverage service in the region.
