DATA warehousing architecture for the operation of the information technologies services in ETECSA

Abstract

This research proposes the development of a Data Warehousing which allows to monitor indicators of Information Technology (IT) service operations to improve the decision making process. Therefore, IT management is characterized in order to identify indicators and metrics, which directly contribute to the quality of services. In addition, the author or authors analyses different approaches, methodologies and BI tools associated with data storage and data warehousing architecture. As a result of this research, the proposed architecture was designed and implemented, enabling ETECSA’s IT directors to obtain integrated and truthful information to make decisions during the IT management process.
