The Future and Advantages of the Power Line Communications

Abstract

In this article the author begins explaining how the computerization of the society is the standard-bearer for the slogan: “Broadband Access for All” and how the PLC technology (Power Line Communications) has an assured future when guaranteeing a greater access, a decrease of investment costs and it offers the so acclaimed broadband accesses. Moreover, he comments how the New Generation electrical equipment that brings together more advanced services endorses this situation. This technology provides huge advantages to our country in fields such as tourism, education and health. Another benefit is based on the fact this technology can reach places where telecommunication networks cannot and thus, it will become the support solution for the great social connectivity work in which ETECSA has the responsibility to look for technical solutions with a minimum of investments.
