Abstract

TL 9000 is a norm of Quality Management Systems design from telecommunications industry and was developed for the QuEST Forum based in the international standard ISO 9001. The norm appears in response at the necessity to count with a specific set of requirements and measurements from the industry that bring quality in the design, develop, production and in the continuous improvement program. TL 9000 certified suppliers and providers of telecommunications services with a common language that permit define quality common expectative and bring the possibility to obtain benchmarking to evaluate the performance between similar organizations. In this paper, beginning from an arduous work of compilation information, it’s explain the characteristics and benefits of TL 9000 to improve the efficiency, implement the improvement processes and reduce deficiencies on telecommunications’ sector.
