Security in IP Multimedia Subsystem

Abstract

Next or New Generation Networks enclose public switching telephone networks and public data communications networks. This situation has influenced the creation of one multiservice network. Instead of a proprietary, big and centralized switching infrastructure, this architecture moves the telephone exchange functionalities towards network ends. Taking into consideration this basis, the article analyzes functional and IMS security architecture, 3GPP, ETSI & UIT standards for this environment.
