Abstract

Fiber optic cable installations of outside plant follow patterns which vary according to each country, and also to operators. This article aims at gathering some practical considerations and general patterns for each variant from a technical point of view. A general description of installation types is included; in addition, cable lying methods and some of their specifications are mentioned.
