Abstract

Today, data warehouses are the point of attention for big enterprises since it is one of the main supports for decision making process; hence, the importance of information quality and reliability. This article deals with one of its formation processes as a means of achieving this purpose: data cleaning and address standardization. In order to guarantee an effective client communication, by telephone or e-mail, an enterprise needs a list of clients clear enough, together with standardized addresses. This helps to avoid problems with loosing the image or credibility of the organization and offers the client more professional and rapid services.
