Abstract

In this paper, the author clearly explains how signals are subject to changes during their propagation through fiber optics as it occurs in other means of transmission. That is to say, they suffer a process of degradation tinged with attenuating and dispersing effects. He also expounds the different causes that originate these phenomena in fiber optics.
