Babel, Automated Information Management System for Translation and Interpretation Services

Abstract

Babel is a system which integrates information technologies into the translation and interpretation services management. This application has a friendly interface that allows users to exchange data and take advantages of the synergies created among the system functions. It also gives updated information about the status of the translation process as well as the competences of the assigned translator. The author refers to other advantages such as the organization and classification of the information and the recovery of documents within appropriate security standards.
