Abstract

4G provides multimegabits sessions at a low cost at any time and place, from any terminal. This poses different challenges for future communications. The authors analyze the promotion of the fourth generation which emerges as a short range communications. They describe the ubiquity of services and applications as another important way of customization and synchronization. The progressive evolution towards a centralized architecture of the radiolink network is also explained.
