Proposal or a Technology-Based Startup Accelerator Company for Cuba “FABITECH”

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is decisive to achieve the revitalization of the economy of a country. In this sense, startups are essential for their contribution in terms of employment, wealth, productivity and innovation. The most innovative companies in the world are specialized in the areas of information technology, software, services, automation and robotics. These are distinguished by the formation of teams of highly trained professionals, resilient and with a strong culture of innovation.
Therefore, the objective of this work is to propose the creation of a technology-based startup accelerator company (FABITECH), specifically in the areas of software, robotics and automation for companies that need accompaniment, financial and professional support, for the development of its internal infrastructure and market positioning. 40 institutions and scientific groups linked to industry 4.0 throughout the country are identified. The main result is the design of the FABITECH company, which includes within the business model the aspects related to administration, accounting and human resources, as well as the commercial Strategy that must be deployed for the launch and successful implementation of the company. The Cuban National Innovation System is not yet consolidated and therefore there are additional challenges to develop this modality of companies that stimulate insertion in regional and international rankings. It will be an alternative to promote innovation, business internationalization to enter foreign markets through e-commerce and therefore increase the social economic growth
of the country and the well-being of the population.
