Abstract

In recent years in Cuba, the policy on the National Health System has focused on acquiring medical equipment for digital image visualization and renewing analog equipment with digitizers, generating a technological advance in hospital institutions and thus providing a better service to patients. As part of this policy, there is also the hospital digitization process focused on the deployment of the XAVIA PACsServer, in which communication with these types of medical equipment is needed. Therefore, there is a need to have trained staff in these institutions to reduce the response time for their configuration. The purpose of this work is to carry out a systematic review regarding the integration of medical digital imaging equipment with the XAVIA PACsServer.
A literature review was performed, where the 17 most relevant articles from the appropriate repositories were selected, by using a set of search keywords, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and quality assessment of the studies. This research work will allow to update the different studies on the integration between the medical imaging equipment and the PACS systems.
