Abstract

The present work proposes an intelligent access control system with similar functionalities to the professionals existing in the market and a multiplatform web management application. The solution adaptable to any type of environment on which it may be deployed. The needs for security, access control & monitoring to a facility have always been present, and the traditional key system has become obsolete. In the world there are many suppliers but their solutions are expensive, limited by commercial restrictions, and often the full set of functionalities is un-known. Therefore, it is proposed to develop an alternative system of our own that solves this problem. This system is based on the ideology of IoT using Arduino free hardware, which provides intelligence to all the doors of an installation and monitors parameters of any room. The work ranges from the design process to its implementation and scale-up on a model built for this purpose. It achieves a functional and fast product, with a user-friendly inter-face and various levels of authentication.
