Abstract

This article describes the evolutionary trends of the emerging services highly demanded by the new generation of users. Likewise, it shows the need to incorporate a CDN in an operator's network by displaying the functioning, the architecture, the advantages and the benefits this incorporation gives to content providers, the impact on the QoE, as well as the challenges to be faced with the use of this kind of network and its evolution.
