Abstract

Due to the proximity of equipment performance in relation to users, it is required radiation towards the latter. One of the parameters used to assess radiation assimilated by the user´s biological tissue is the SAR parameter —Specific Absorption Rate— regulated by international and national standards. For this reason, this paper assesses, in a simulated manner, the PIFA antenna radiation impact operating in GSM 900 and 1800 bands, in a SAM model —Specific Anthropomorphic Mannequin— head and hand using the software CST MICROWAVE STUDIO. As a result, SAR distribution for 1 g of biological tissue in models analyzed is obtained; the impact of head model allocation and user near equipment is assessed.
