Abstract

In this article, the authors make a detailed description of Maxwell Software that is aimed to calculate radio links of direct or quasi-direct vision, in the 30 MHz-50 GHz band. They explain how to obtain, in a VISUAL way, the design of tropospheric point to point communication systems in direct or quasi-direct visibility. By taking into account international and national standards, as well as the fulfillment of UITR´s quality or unavailability requirements, they describe the possibilities this software gives to calculate the unavailability or the probability (%) of total propagation out of the total quality of a digital or analog radio link system — with active and passive repeater — for telephony, television or broadcasting.
