Abstract

LTE networks use diverse resource allocation mechanisms to distribute available radio resources blocks among user terminals according to their demand. The selection of the mechanism to implement has a significant impact on network behavior. This work describes some of the resource allocation techniques deployed in LTE networks, and by means of simulation shows the results obtained by LTE networks concerning data transmission rates of the system.
