Abstract

This paper analyzes the main disadvantages of the traditional network proprietary management systems based on a single domain compared to the new trend of fixed-mobile integration services oriented to next generation networks based on IP. It also addresses the potentialities of the fourth generation integrated management system iManager U2000 as an alternative to increase efficiency and reduce operation and maintenance costs. Advantages of this new system include the decrease of E2E service provision time and real-time fault location.
