Abstract

The article shows the evolution and development concerning mobile telephony service in Cuba, based on its background, current status and future projections. Data and statistics are provided to clarify the different stages that mobile service has gone through up today. Likewise, it also summarizes the main achievements obtained and their social impacts. Finally, future challenges and goals are presented.
