Abstract

Next Generation Networks (NGN), supported in infrastructure by IP networks, are vulnerable to threats and risks of traditional data networks, as well as those specific to IP telephone networks; these constitute severe security issues that need to be addressed. With this goal in mind, a Security Architecture for NGN was proposed for ETECSA, with an integral, generic, and personalized focus adapted to the characteristics and conditions of the Cuban setting and, to the different foreseen stages of development for this network. These include a group of guidelines and interventions with these last embedded in its different layers.
