Abstract

The CENATIC Foundation, true to its mission of promoting knowledge about open source technologies, continuously carries out studies that divulge the different aspects about free software. This study examines the international panorama of Open Source Software. It offers to contextualize the reality of the Spanish and global situation in regard to the knowledge of current technological tendencies as well as the promotion and use of open technologies in the public and private sectors. It also offers the contribution of developer communities as well as prominent university initiatives
