Abstract

A simulator is a computer program that imitates a complex system under specific conditions. The article presents the basis and main characteristics of a wireless network simulator design based on the IEE802.11a standard, which allows the use of multicarrier modulation (OFDM). According to the established mathematical model and the tool MATLAB, the function blocks for data processing are obtained. Some aspects of the physical layer, the radio channel, the computer programming and the user interface are highlighted.
