Environment 2.0: A New Perspective for Cuban Organizations

Abstract

Web 2.0 is a more social, participative and collaborative Web phase. Its principles and tools can be applied in organizations, resulting in remarkable improvements for organizational performance because it provides new ways of information, communication and knowledge management. This article outlines Web 2.0 characteristics and its impact on organizations. Tools like blogs, wiki, social bookmarking, folksonomy and content syndication could be implemented in Cuba, according to the authors. Further related considerations are given.
