Abstract

The investigation aims at introducing a software that provides efficient Authentication, Authorization and Accounting processes for applications based on XML Web Services. This is accomplished through an adequate described XML web services publication, using the Web Services Description Language. Its development is supported by free technologies, multiplatforms and layer architecture. It applies PHP 5 as the programming language, PostgreSQL 8.3 system as a database management system, AJAX methodology to perform server requests and the YUI library to get a modern visual interface. It uses open standards like XML thatallows interoperability among applications and the transport protocol HTTPS for data encryption. This system provides an efficient security requirement management for external systems that carry out their services from code reuse which avoids unnecessary actions outside each business.
