Abstract

This article presents a study on radio broadcasting coverage using Amplitude Modulation and proposes a tool for computing medium wave coverage. The procedures to obtain 240 equations that feature surface wave propagation curves and 6 equations to determine the field strength of vertical monopoles, using the mathematic tool MATLAB 7.0, are explained. Also, the digitalization of The Cuban Electrical Conductivity Map through the software MapInfo is achieved. The software RadioTools developed to calculate the coverage of medium wave’s station is the final product of this investigation.
