Measurements of Subscriber Pairs for ADSL

Abstract

Decades ago, too much time was used to make acceptance test of long distance, trucking and local telephone cables. This was the starting point to develop instruments able to evaluate pair behaviour which allows pair selectors to save time and work. To make this article, the author has taken into account as fundamental bases the use of such instruments in measurements and an example of compute to assess pairs previously and then, to decide whether it can be used in ADSL installation.
