Algorithms and Methods for Indoor Location Systems

Abstract

Applications based on indoor location are growing in popularity while increasing services, potentialities and customer satisfaction; that is why, they are more and more demanding as for accuracy and speed. In environments where global systems are limited, location process can be executed efficiently combining methods and algorithms over technologies such as Wi-Fi, UWB or RFID. This article gathers methods and algorithms used by Indoor Location Systems, highlighting the differences between these two concepts and giving a brief description of them.
