Abstract

Development-energy system implications are widely known. This article gives a global view on energy and its relation with human development by explaining the link between the Millennium Development Objectives and energy. A key issue is how lack of Access to reliable and economical energy sources affects people opportunities to develop a decent, healthy and creative life.
