Abstract

Today, DC supply systems have reached a great importance within industrial and entrepreneurial environment, particularly in the communications sector where they help to guarantee telecommunications service delivery. In this respect, the paper presents an analysis of the different types of switched sources used nowadays. Loss Free Resistor (LFR) concept and its significance in the correction of power factor are explained.
