Quality of Electrical Energy

Abstract

It is conclusive the fact of electrical energy consumption increase due to the use of a great number of electrical and electronic equipment in society and industry used to control processes, transmit information, process data, create entertainment activities, etc. This wide and mass use of power has raised the need to study electrical networks and their control by standard entities. This article proposes a set of standards to be fulfilled by electrical equipment providers and manufacturers in order to avoid electrical network pollution due to disruptions that might affect and diminish quality of electrical energy.
