Abstract

Processes depending on power electronics are present in our life through computers, TV sets, UPS, fluorescent lights with electronic ballast, switched rectifiers, etc. All these equipment are nonlinear charges generating harmonics that pollute the environment somehow. Harmonic Identification, detection and effects are the main points discussed in this paper.
