About the Journal

Definition of the magazine:

TONO Magazine is a specialized scientific-technical magazine, published in printed and electronic format, aimed at scientific and technological diffusion of the telecommunications and informatics environment. Edited by the Directorate of Surveillance And Scientific-Technical Information, belonging to the Main Directorate of Business Intelligence , from the Telecommunications Company of Cuba S.A. (ETECSA), attached to the Ministry of Communications of Cuba (MINCOM), it publishes every six months results of research, development and technological applications aimed at the community of specialists, technicians and students of telecommunications and computer science from Cuba and the world.

Topic and Scope:

Addressed to specialists, technicians, workers and students, TONO Magazine constitutes an arbitrated space for the publication of updated scientific-technological articles and information.

With a thematic profile that points directly to Computing and Telecommunications, the magazine addresses other disciplines such as Electronics, Communications, Information Technologies and Communications, Business Management.

The magazine reserves up to 10% of its content for the informative promotion of the services and products of the ETECSA Directorate of Surveillance And Scientific-Technical Information, as well as those offered by the company itself.

Objectives of the magazine

  1. To publish scientific and technical articles and information updated in the specialties referred to above, sent by specialists, technicians, workers and students with similar interests.

  2. To offer a legal and safe space to publish the intellectual, scientific and technological production that is generated, as well as to endorse the publication of scientific works required for the scientific categorization of the specialists.

  3. Disclose about the new acquisitions of equipment, technologies, services, products and other information deemed necessary to publish the Editorial Board.
